I've just voted the bottom one so I can see the results
Info about the show is easy to come across, there's even a button at the top of every page! Although tbf seeing as it's the first one there's only experience of other shows to go off of.
Shy people - Don't worry, we don't bite Any more...

I am indeed mate, I'll be on the stand but not the track. Car needs too much attention before it can do anything like that
How about yourself?

Thinking about it dave, if I can get my wheels tarted up, and sort out my scuffed arch i'll be up for it. Don't think i'll be tracking it though, again mine needs work and I don't have much guts to drive on a track with no experience!

Nice one That shouldn't be too much to do in 5 weeks!
I'm the same re: experience, although they have tutors and the track sessions are split into experience levels so all the newbies will be together, as will all the hardcore 'Ring elite etc.
I might track it next year

Track driving without experience is fine, if you watch the WR session videos you can see a fair number of people who were out there first time and taking it easy. There are also a fair few people who are experienced who could passenger for advice and extra eyes.
You need a bit more confidence than a trip to the shops but you're also no more likely to crash than any of the day of the week. In fact if you driving properly you're probably less likely because if anything, the standard of driving is higher and there's less going on to worry about anyway.
If we get a dedicated CS session, even more so the case.
And regarding sorting out the tatty bits, sure the cars should be as well turned out as possible but it's also not the type of place that you turn up just to point out every single defect on other peoples' cars. Max Power Live where everyone is trying to show off their latest bodykit on a static show that may be the case, but a track-focussed event in which people are there for their mutual interest in the social side of car clubs is a different thing.
If you can sort it, sound. If not, don't sit at home wishing you had have made the effort when the pictures are up and it looks a great day, and you overlooked it because your car isn't perfect.
You're only down the road as well?!
