Would a t-bar be considered a convertible? If so I must've looked unbelievably gay sitting on the door dancing along to the YMCA as I was driven down Blackpool sea front 
Some do look gay/girly including the MX5 but I still want one, who gives a shit if it's not the manliest looking when it's a great handling car that's highly likely to put a smile on your face.
The only convertible I've actually driven was my dad's Saab 9-3, down the M55 in the rain with the roof down, boss 
You can see the actual gays that own convertibles cos the roof never goes down cos it's either too cold or too hot so they use the aircon 
When I own a convertible, it'll be a rare occurrence for me to drive it with the roof up, if it's cold there's a heater, if it's raining you speed up a bit, bonzer

When I had my MRS Roadster I always felt self concious with the roof down. Especially at traffic lights or if you stop at a pub. you get it in your head that people are thinking "tosser, poser etc".
I did enjoy the Mid engined Rwd setup, was the most balanced car I have ever had and great fun to drive.

But on a whole I dont think they are
I would like a E46 330 cab next

MK1 MX5's aren't really gay as long if they are lowered with different wheels, the others are nearing it though.
