To me they are good value.
But you're not using them as they are intended! You would get the same levels of performance from a cheaper tyre! That for me isn't value.
You are assuming again.
As I said Ian, these tyres are FAR better than a generic top brand tyre.
Therefore they are good value to ME. Capiche?

Even my Paradas are lethal in the wet I'd hate to think what 888's are like

OK, I can't comment about your driving style. Your friend certainly isn't though.

Just go and see him. Liverpool (dunno why you put "Merseyside" - not gonna fool anyone) is only a few miles from Manchester.
Just go see him.

It says Merseyside because I used Location Services to set it, and the two choices for my postcode are the district or the region.
Plus I've no interest in going to see him drive a Metro.

I don't care about the argument for tyres, so what if he used R888's on the road. Do you think a Metro will go fast enough to aquaplane? No it fucking won't, that's like trying to get round Hammer's ego on a space hopper.
Also lol@ all the keyboard warriors coming out and giving it large. I moaned about timewasters - something we can all appreciate I'm sure. I can see a few genuine folk on here agreeing with me - the rest must either be said timewasters or just internet warlords looking for an e-fight.
Perhaps everyone should just take a chill and maybe AGREE that yes the majority of Corsasport users are timewasting, penny-pinching, text-typing illiterate chavs!
No offence to the rest of you, I know there are plenty of people who aren't any of the above.
whos looking for a fight?how can you admit wasting my time then go on a rant about others?
if youve got something for sale you have to expect to be messed about by dreamers and time wasters (like yourself),and just get on with it,ive been messed about a few times on here but i just forget about it,otherwise dont sell on here theres ploenty of other sites.

this thread is pointless and as much times anyone posts this or similar threads the people you refer to will take zero notice.
its like telling a young boy racer to drive carefully in his saxo vts that he insured after passing his driving test.

I bought Jamie Hasting's LET Corsa (mig user and probably on here)
I had the cash
I bought the car
I didn't buy yours because it's crap, and you're from Birmingham so nothing you say is valid anyway TBH.

I think, but I may be wrong, that the 'who said that' was a piss take about the fact it was all in capitals which is like shouting on the Internet!
He certainly wouldn't have been talking about a C20LET in a Metro because it has already been done. He is aware of that fact as I have told him enough times.

I don't agree that they're in the majority.
Well put it this way - my chrome bonnet stay thread for example... out of the 11 people that said they will definitely have one, 3 have paid I haven't forced them on anyone, these are strangers who have come forward, approached me and said they want to buy one.
That is shocking.
So yes, I'd say 8 out of 11 is a "majority"
I bought one

Yep, I've only got 4 cars at the minute, including a Calibra turbo built for 400bhp with about 15 grands worth of bits on it (performance parts), a Corsa LET, a mint standard Calibra turbo and a runner car. In fact I bet the amount of cars, parts and tools/equipment I have cost more than you've earned in your lifetime.
2 of them are in my double garage with upstairs workshop, 2 are in the massive back garden in front of it, all behind a luxury 4 bedroom house I rent (waiting on a mortgage next year). I'm sure anyone off here who's picked bits up from me can confirm that.
Maybe later when I'm in my jacuzzi, in the marble-floored bathroom I can spare a thought for you, an ugly inbred Brummie who lives with his mum and has a crap car (if any).
I'm not showing off - just please don't call me a pikey or a tramp when you really haven't got a fucking clue, you crabwanking yam yam. I'd also wager I'm more cultured and educated than you or any of your friends and family.
Now fuck off and die in a fire.
Cheers
