Here we go again The 170 and 143 drive EXACTLY the same Except that the 170 accelerates faster and uses more fuel.

Yep. 19's are a definate.
I was looking at the 3 series M sport but my F-I-L has got one so wanted to be a bit different. Also I can get a newer A4 than I can 3 series M-Sport.

Ibis white is the colour to have, my mates got a 6month old A4 diesel S-line & he loves it!!
Old mans still pottering about in his 4.5yr old one as well and has had no bother with it at all. Its so good he see's no reason to change it yet, although when he did get a price on it it was still booking at more than 50% at 4yrs+ which has to be reasuring!!

Yeah...i'm thinking 143, unless we happen to find a 170, then maybe get it mapped.

Get the 143, if you want more poke you can get it chipped to 175bhp for around £300.
iirc Audi charge around 2000 quid more for the 170, taking it almost 30k!!

I Have an 57 plate Audi A4 s line, 2.0 TDI as a company car, I know its older but mine has the decent flappy paddle gear box and its very very good, highly recommended, im not fussed about manual as its only a company car. The a4 has RIDICULOUS rear legroom for a car of its size, massive boot though, go figure.
handles nice though, the ride on the Audi is a bit harsh on the potholed roads but its very comfy on the motorway which is obviously what it was built for.
that said though I borrowed a 09 plate BMW 320d, fantastic drive, just felt so right, looked good too, did not want to give it back!
I would go for the merc mate, if you dont want the BMW. havent driven one but have had a good look in and around one, lovely looking motor.

Loads of problems with the C220 D
The C200 D is a better motor from what a merc mechanic says

Merc just doesn't feel "me" . I still feel too young for a Merc. My old mans got an E - Class. This is probably why!
Also prefer the styling in the A4.
Dealers are struggling to find a car in my spec tho.
The 19" wheels are the prob. But i'm not having std ones because they are horrible!
I've got a £24.5k budget (very, very max) too. If I could go up another £1k i'd be sorted but can't justify the money. Tbh 'd rather only spend £24k and use £500 for a full pro detail
