but it would be vastly slower. and also again, deep pockets to maintain.

thats a very very flawed statement.

Not at all, they don't require maintaining in any other way to a standard CTR other than the charger oil change every 30 odd thousand miles i think it is.

So it's not flawed

seriously, from what i see on a weekly basis, thats bullshit.

What do you see on a weekly basis? The 15 - 20 charged Ep3's i know of and some running NOS too all have had 0 problems.

sorry, i dont claim to know people. i see what i see, and see a lot of failure and high maintenance forced induction fitted n/a engined hondas. now i havent done a motorsport engineering course, so perhaps you are correct?

its ok, im not going to argue with you. i work in a tyre place i dont do motorsport engineering so i dont have all the answers like you. i was just saying what ive seen. and that is, you start messing on with forced induction on n/a engines, and it requieres maintenance. thats all i know. sorry if you've got the wrong end of what i meant. i dont do that stuff for a living like you. so peace out.

id have the corsa,its quick,its different.not many 500bhp corsa's knocking about.

if i was spending that amount of money id certainly not buy a civic type r.you cant even compare the two, civic is an average boy racer car where as that corsa is purpose built.

Problem is, it's worth what people will pay for it.

And if this thread demonstrates anything, it's that there aren't many people in that position.

cars like this you need to drop very lucky when selling. It is impressive , but it is also an old corsa. the shell is worthless really, you might get £500 for the shell of someone who has an engine and plenty of time.

its all very well and good people saying its worth 7k etc but its only worth what the potential buyer is willing to pay, and in my opinion you could get a newer engine for less money. I dont think anyone would have 7k to throw at it tbh. but it only takes one buyer so good luck

imo the problem with selling cars like this is that the people who appreciate the costs involved in building something like it are likley to be the people who would rather build one themselves than buy one ready made.
