Forums cost money to run.
Either the admins are generous (and foolish) enough to fund it out of their own pockets, they take donations, or they sell a product (ie. membership).

The site runs because of the donations/memberships, we own our own server and have it in colocation space in London. All of which costs money.
Everything that needs man-hours on CS/WR is unpaid, theres normally 4-5 people working all day on shows for example to make sure everything goes ok. Mods are obviously not paid and neither are organisers for regions.

i have been to one south east meet actually, sat next to daveyLC and had a burger aswell.
will go to more if i remember or bother to check regional events, thats another thing whilst im on topic, alot of the events are posted in regional and tbh i dont think many people check them
