Would Mini Lites fit? Or some decent wheels off the later MX5's?

Hope you're not letting any Nimrods work on the car - there's one who used to have an MX5 and he was a right cowboy

here is a quick selection of what i would consider if i was looking for another set of wheels, based on opinion/what i have seen other MX5s wearing and like the image

the wheels i have

http://89.206.185.119/images/product/product/mak_fever_5r.jpg

i have the last link but the car came with BBS multi=spoke style wheels (http://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/8582/Image198.jpg) these came with some Nangkangs which i did not want to drive day to day. being a regular in the autosolo sport of motor racing i am slowing scrubbing away these as the rubber suits the sport and used that as an excuse to get a second set of wheels, day to day drive with these http://www.corsasport.co.uk/carimages/8582/Polished_5.JPG

personally i dont see if you're going to use it as a weekend/out for cruise car why you'd want to change from what look to be very good condition standard "minilites" the best wayto enjoy the car will be to keep it standard and unless you have a need for a second set of wheels i don't see the advantage!
but that is my two pennies worth!

I just hate 99% of aftermarket wheels, I was thinking something like this:

Maybe with black insides and polished outsides?

Not sure that's a good idea with my track record and kerbs though

Too big for them IMO, mine looks over-wheeled on 16s.

The best 'standard' wheels are the ones which look like tigra 5 spokes.

As discussed nice wheels but they are far to modern for the car!

Minilites FTW!

i agree with Dave and Robin!!!

i have 15s and wouldn't go for 16s, my BBS are 14s and wanted something larger as a second set but 16 would be too big!!

I can't decide on anything yet...

Few small sensible mods though:

- Central locking
- Boot pop (I'm gunna lock my keys in there at some point!)
- Get the heated rear screen working again
- Clear front and side indicators
- Clear reflectors
- T-cut and polish

Must be a UK thing? Unless I've missed a trick and you push the fuel cap release? I've had the carpet off in the back though and there's nothing in there that could remotely pop the boot

I'm on my phone, so this is the only pic I have until I get home again.

As for the boot release, I think it's an age thing. I don't have one and mine is a '91 reg.
