Im still on a 3g, that is so slow, wi-fi has packed up working unless i stand above the router, and i was waiting for the next one, hope the software and features are better than the "updated" design or im going for an S3

Will probably have slightly better hardware spec than the 4S and usually they add one or two unique iOS features, that only the latest iPhone receives.

What options are there if they'd want a fairly scratch resistant material, that doesn't crack on impact?

Glass will crack if you drop the phone on it, but plastic will scratch from carrying the phone in a pocket.

Right now, it seems a glass screen is the best option.

Had my iPhone 4 since release day and not broken the screen or back, been dropped and bashed about too.

I really like the two tone back, I hope it stays. It would look boring if all one color. My theory is though that the metal back is now part of the antenna(hence the swirly pattern on the inside) the rubber antenna breaks have to go all the way across the back essentially connecting the left and right. The two tone is to distract from these lines at the top and bottom as they'd stand out if not.

I like the annodised(sp) look on the black casing and if you watch the video the tapered edges look highly polished so when it's tilted it reflects the light like a sharp knife

Batteries are less than a fiver on eBay and really easy to replace.
