now then no messing im getting serious this time!

everything is stripped out now

i decided not to use this wiring loom i just want a nice simple 1.2 8v loom less wiring and will be able to tuck it all away so it looks like theres no wiring which should be cool

so...

i got an offer through for a VAT free day ay machine mart, so i went mental and bought these goodies!!

ok so heres some nasty rust.. (you can probably guess were this is leading now ) so........

time to empty the fuel tank which was half full so another 30 quid knocked off what i payed getting to be a cheap car this is

now its safe to.....

Chop it up!!!!

now you can see im not messing about

looks better with out that horible well on show from behind and a lot nicer in the boot also for the smoothed look to eventually mount ally fuel tank and swirl pot maybe.

good work, funny enough i did some work on my spare wheel well today as there was some rust forming where the plugs are, i decided to weld plates in the holes that had formed, if it wasn't my daily i'd probably do what you have done

more snaps

welding done

now grinded flat and skimmed over with p38 body filler

fineeto

and painted to protect from rust as theres no ariel and boot seals it leaks water atm, its smooth white hamerite mixed with a little thinner and rollered on looks sprayed when finished couldnt tell the diference and costs next to nothing

also easy to touch up and add onto

well pleased with the outcome!

finished removing all rear seat mounts and smoothed over and smoothed over all spot weld marks with p38 again and wet and dry paper to get it very smooth.

stripped rear full and painted up

then i found some rust on the rear arches which wasnt really a problem just didnt notace when buying the car can be quite hard to notice.. not to worry soon welded it up

scraped back the silicon and grinded up then used a piece cut from the old wheel well which was a perfect shape luckily

Then i ground the welds flat and re sealed it all with UPOL black tiger seal.

i got bored of welding so i had a break and did some spraying up lol i did the arches and the jacking covers from my old car

i rubbed them all down then did 2 coats of primer, 3 top coat and 2 laquer. doing the relevant sanding in between.

paint matched perfecly seems its so much easier than red on the old colour matching
