Sony A290.
I am a mere beginner, like I said to Matt, I can take photos, but I am not a photographer.
Likewise. I have a Nikon D3000 which is their previous base model (recently been replaced by D3100). If you have Photoshop then you should try using RAW files instead of jpeg as you get a lot more flexibility out of it. I shot all my PVS pics in RAW (first time I've really used it) and it's easy to get much better pics than using jpeg.


With the A290, when I shoot in RAW mode I also get a Jpeg of the same image
And it came with its own software for messing with RAW pics, just never used it.

It's great on nightshift because I go to bed at 8, and just wake up when I want hate early starts If you drink enough, you'll get a few hours comatose sleep which will keep you going!

Can do RAW + jpeg on mine but only the "basic" quality jpeg which is the lowest of the 3 settings so I put it on just RAW Plus with mine on RAW + jpeg it annihilates the buffer so can't take as many continuous shots as if it was on just RAW or jpeg.
