I'm not saying 250bhp means 4.5 secs a lap.
I'm simply saying look at the difference power makes!
Sarcasim - yes, I understand you were being sarcastic. Did you really think I was jelous of you.... or did you miss the sarcasim.
Thanks for confirming that i'm a genious. I still think you're a retarded troll

its all about acceleration basically, if you have more power you can do more acceleration, meaning you will be faster than something with less power.
this is why a Veyron beats an SLR

Why is corsasport like this these days?
Full of fuckwits that cant have a semi serious / reasonable conversation about anything other than spam/trolling or detailing
This topic for example is car related one, showing differences in lap times for cars taking corners at (roughly) the same speed.
Would this topic have been spammed to death if it was a topic about 'what did you had for breakfast' or 'I've washed my car (for the 2000th time)'

You've posted a thread stating the massively obvious, then tried to make it sound much more complicated than it is, that's the problem here.

if i'm honest, my first reply, i thought you were trying to make a point that an extra 270bhp only made 4.5secs difference and that the money was best spent modifying the handling/grip etc

no
you/they are thinking its something more complicated than it is. Its a (very) simple comparison
the problem here is other people.

but by HOW MUCH TIME??!!?
I actually have an overlaid vid from this - but dont think i can get onto youtube to find it
So basically because Knockhill has 4 main straights, through the power difference she is getting a second up on you on each straight, despite you being able to brake later due to a slower terminal speed. Thus being 4 seconds a head per lap, which is quite alot for such a small circuit.
So basically, you need more balls
having been in adams car, i rweally dont think he needs to be braiver

So for every 60 bhp they have more than you, they gained 1 second on you ROUGHLY.

no.......
you could have a car weighing 2000kg and one weighing 600kg. Giving the heavy car 60bhp more would equate to 'nae much'
I'm not making any points about 270bhp, nor that it'll give you 4.5secs.
I'm simply saying look at the fucking difference the straight line speed made to the lap time! Why is that so hard to cunting grasp??!?!!?

You mention the weight of the cars and the bhp, but we are talking acceleration out of corners and on straights, and there is no mention of torque?
Is the skyline twin turbo? i can't remember
I think this thread is a very rough comparision, and i don't think the 4.5secs is solely down to bhp

Surely this is actually quite obvious ? If car "a" is faster on a straight than car "b", but both cars can corner at the same speed, car "a" will therefore be faster.
Adam, do you think that you could, with a better suspension set up and better tyres be able to match fee's time ?

More comparisons.....
this is Bo Neilsen vs my Impreza
Similar power, similar weight, similar lap time.
Bo is red

green is evo
pinky is gtr

yes ak you are stating the totally blatantly obvious - hense trolling
although you may be better on the straights gear change wise ect which is why you should drive both cars for a fair comparison
we have basicly achieved that a skyline is faster than a scooby on straights

it is very obvious... but the plots were just to show how much of a differece it roughly made.
100% no way could I do that lap time... not even on slicks. Could prob knock 2 secs off perhaps...
Hopefully it'll be dry when I get home and I can see what times it'll do on 888's

john - I'm trolling??? really
gear changes - not really down to driver. I for example cant change gear in the GTR as quickly as I can in the STi. Totaly different gearchanges (short shift, long throw etc)
'A skyline is faster than a scooby '- er, no..... I have never stated that. The skyline may be quicker over the lap used in the comparison. Faster and Quicker are different things (in my opinion anyway). I think the Impreza with 500bhp would prob be quicker than the GTR... BUT the GTR may still be faster in a straight line, i.e reaching a higher top speed.
I'm being pedantic now........ and we're going round in circles.
