Mixed feelings amongst my friends that I went with.

The two that LOVE films like Transformers, battle los angeles etc etc sat there with a dumb puzzled look on there faces afterwards

As a stand alone film it's very good.

If you comparing it to the Alien films then it's never going to live up to that expectation.

I found the characters were a little bland though, you never really connected with them so didn't really care what happened to any of them.

Agree with that Sunz, feel like the start was a bit rushed. If you've watched the virals it's not so bad.
