You would expect it to tackle a pot hole or road hump at 30 mph well though.

No. I would expect it to be a hard/firm ride tat couldn't tackle speed bumps and pot holes at speed.

You are after all buying a sports car. Which will cope with road conditions in this country different to those compared with a regular gtc bottom of the car.

If you were hoping for a smooth comfy ride when buying one of these and got a hard bumpy ride, then more fool you.

I think it looks pretty good but it's a lot of £££. Not sure if anyone else got an email from Vauxhall, included this pic and preview leaflet :

Thats a lot of cash for an astra. The wheels really look out of place on it.

The insignia is a big brute of a car tho with the bodykit to match so they kinda go with the theme of the car.

Indeed, they look okay on the Insignia, I just thought it was pretty lazy of them to re-use the wheels for the astra Vxr.
Price of it I would have expected some astra Vxr wheels not some thing they use on other cars.

£27k base price for a Vauxhall Astra? Wow.

I feel a bit sick having paid £8k for mine over 5 years ago, if I paid £27k for an Astra there would be arms being waved all over the place.

As I never said it wasn't. But now you mention it, it isn't really. Only available in 5 door which means its not exactly a sports car/hot hatch. More a breathed on family car.

My god are they ugly as well, front bumper looks like a 5 year old designed it.
And the fuel filler cap. Don't get me started on that. It's the size and the shape of a small country and a complete after thought.
The new global ford focus is a big fat ugly walrus and who ever designed it needs shooting.
