Im exactly the same. Even the back bit has to be the same angle. And if someone knocks my airvents so they dont match its the end of the world. Lol TT looks awesome by the way and i dont normally like red cars.

I'm the same.

Ian, how tall are you? That drivers seat looks to sit almost underneath the steering wheel.

I'm liking this car more and more. Didn't care for the wheels at first but either they've grown on me or I've just gotten used to the sight.

5'11. The seats are all screwed up in the pics as I had been hoovering front and back, quickly realised something wasn't right once I tried to drive this morning

Been at GTi International all weekend, great weather and a great event

Had the TT in the Show 'n' Shine section, no chance of winning anything but it gave me chance to have it in the show

Got it remapped while I was there, fun drive home and blew a hose along the way

Come home with a firm idea of how I want to go forward with it, 18's will shortly be for sale and I plan on going 19" rims with some nice brakes behind

Couple of pics.

Seen car today, looks tidy didn't realise was yours until spotted pics above.

Those Audi wheels will look 100x better, not a fan of those Rotiforms. You get Revo to map it at the show?

Cheers

There are still a few bits that need doing but it's 11 years old and gets used every day so it's not a show car by any means

I got a Shark Performance map, got a further discount to the standard show one due to a mate knowing the guys

Prefer the standard wheels over the rotiforms but the spoked wheels should look great.

I really like it on the standard rims but they all need a proper blast and refurb and four new tyres, seems like it makes more sense to get something fancier for the money

Bit of work this week...

Car was due a service, now on the last service it became apparent that someone had stripped the threads on the sump plug which caused it to A) Leak and B) No longer be removable!

I discovered this in December and decided next service would involve a new sump..

So..

New Bits

Sump removed and new pickup pipe installed (common cause of engine failure on the 1.8T is the pickup getting blocked, only a tenner for a brand new one so made sense..

New sump on, I got my mate to do the sealant as I am epicly shit at stuff like that..

It seemed to have a minor leak yesterday which I tracked down today, added a bit of sealant to the area which *fingers crossed* has sorted it.

Slight change of plans now with regards to the 19's I wanted, in order to get them to fit I would need to buy adapters and from what I read they would be more trouble than there worth

So, I'm loving the look of the original RS4 style wheels on it so thought, here's an idea, get a set of 19's

Picked these up the other day, need two tyres and a refurb, the plan is next year to go wild and get them chromed

Few pics from test fit today..

This is the plan for them next year...
