Got quoted £520 for a set for mine if it was an unusually high amount then I apologise but still most race pads do have crap cold bite. There is always a sacrifice (noise as you at for the RC6) for me the EBC range is a really good all round. Thus making it a good fast road pad where a pad has to work in lots of different conditions.

Im not saying everyone should run race pads..
Im saying that everyone should run pads which meet their requirements.. See my original post on page 4 i think it was.
My opinions on ebc pads where just that, i backed up my opinion with personal testing. I have my opinion which was the better pad full stop not just for a certain application.

I paid just under £300 for my cl5+'s (4 corners)
The cost of the pad is going to differ from caliper to caliper. An 8 pot caliper is going to cost more to fill with rc6's than a single pot would.

no seriously what pads do you have
as i assume most of your cars time will be track sessions - so are they normal, fast road or track/race pads or whateverthey are classed as
Surely this defines the thread as the OP of the thread

The Brembos on my LCR were bloody awesome. However on a car with almost double the power, they weren't as effective.

doesn't the brake disc have an impact on performance also seeing as though everyone is talking about performance of the pads

Indeed it does but it wont have the same impact as a different pad.
2 Piece discs will have a better braking effect than a vented/solid disc. A larger surface area will help with braking also

Does it not have an impact with grooved/dilled etc
I am no expert on this but brake performance is not all about pads surely

He could get away with 'fast road' as he isnt on the track any longer than 15min stints

I wasn't having a dig by the way - genuinely interested as your car seems more orientated to track use

Yes it does. They help cooling which in turn help braking
