Yup me too. June, not even 6 months ago.
Does your iPad work less well now? Or is it an image thing for you?

That's actually a true story Steve, eBay will be saturated now with everyone trying to keep up. Imagine how many iPad minis will be about because poor people like Barnes can afford them.

LOL if you're pissed off that you need the new one now.
Or society needs the new one so your old one is worth a carrot.
It didn't just go shit today, it was either good or it wasn't.
Just LOL. And they're not dead, they're milking more cunts for all they have because they will buy whatever that company makes.
6 pages and not one person has said what they're going to do with any of this stuff that costs loads of money every few months.

Neither.
It is the fact that the device is already outdated SO quickly and has been already superseded.
To answer Ian's post, I will not be doing anything for a long time.
I bought the first iPad, then the ipad3 2 years later. It's a device that ALL the family uses and has become a godsend for teach our daughter numbers, colours, animals etc and keeps her entertained in the car.
It's not a fashion statement nor is it something I MUST have the latest for. I am simply annoyed its been outdated so quickly.

I wouldn't be pissed off I don't have the latest one (if I did) in the slightest. I'd be pissed off that the object I paid a lot of money for has suddenly had a massive wedge of value knocked off it.
As John said, they knew they had this one coming 7 months ago, there was no need to release the 3 other than to be money grabbing cunts

Interesting to see the Nexus 7 8GB is already beeing dropped after...... 3 months! Where are the cries from all the owners of this out of date hardware?
Looks like they are reducing the cost of the 32GB version to try and entice customers now they have some stiff competition

Nexus is being sold at cost, if Google bring a new one out it's because they can now do it at that price.
Google are also in it for the competition, Apple, until this year, weren't. They brought out what they wanted, sometimes with already outdated hardware, but didn't care. What they've done here is bring out a mini to keep up with the competition, while at the same time getting as much money as they can with another slightly updated full size one.
Why did they not bring an new iPhone 4 out in 6 months when the antenna was clearly a failure?

http://www.engadget.com/2012/10/23/some-apple-stores-offering-exchanges-on-ipads/
What kind of Apple policy is this, the odd store might give out 30 day returns on previous gen ipads? The stores are anal down to the type of tiles used on the floor, how can they have a 'policy' like that which differs between stores?

I don't see why pow and Bart are pissed off that there is a new iPad? It's not like they've totally changed it. They haven't improved on the screen as it's already the dogs danglies, it's got that new lightning port and I bet you can't tell the difference speed wise between this version and previous one . It's not really a new iPad at all, it's an S version.
Aside from the lightning port I bet you wouldn't even tell them apart

I agree Apple were able to do what they want previously, mainly because the competition were not within a mile of it as products. Now after many years they are starting to compete and thus obviously Apples approach would have to change.
The next 6 months will be very interesting. I suspect the iPhone 5 will become the fastest selling gadget in history (passing the Konnect), the iPad have sold a lot so what will the Mini do???? fall on its face or fly off the shelves.
Going to be interesting thats for sure.
Its the sort of thing I can see my parents buying. They were already considering an iPad having seen quite a few friends with them who use them all the time but didn't want to spend quite so much

I think the real reason will actually be the lightning port tbh. This will push accessory manufacturers into using that exclusively so they can get rid of the old connector asap.
