McLaren went from a push-rod setup to a pull-rod setup, similar setup to what Ferrari were running last year.

Edit - craig scarborough's blog is always worth reading - http://scarbsf1.com/blog1/

Peter Windor's Youtube channel is also worth a watch (HERE), likewise he does a weekly (during season) online show The Flying Lap that's worth looking at.

Scarbs makes for some very good reading.

Makes you realise just how much the TV coverage (whether it be Sky or BBC) gloss over technically significant components when describing stuff like exhaust blown diffusers, coanda and f-duct.

True but i guess they've got to make the programming appeal to a wide audience rather than the geeky F1 tech-heads

One of the reasons why i lurk on the F1Technical forums where it's full of motorsport mechanics and aerodynamicists and generally a good source of technical insight to the cars.

Yeah indeed, but with the 24/7 air time available on the Sky channel - they should really give somebody like Scarbs a slot

What's the betting that lotus will be the only team with a fully stepped nose not like the one on the sauber and then having the cover by the end of the season like most other teams

There's some here http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2013/02/04/mercedes-w04-launch-pictures/

Slightly random question, but how come Hamilton is #10 and Rosberg #9 this year? I assumed Hamilton would be #9 because he finished higher up in the driver's championship last year.

Hamilton prefers even numbers apparently, he'd settle for #1 though

Anderson doesn't seem overly impressed with the W04 - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula-one/21322248. Granted it'll be in launch spec but so far the changes appear to extremely minimal compared to other teams.

Aye the front wing (and other bolt on parts) is probably just some crap they had lying around from last year, so hard to comment on the launch spec cars I guess.
