He played well but he flaps at every single cross. Nowhere near strong enough to be United's keeper imo.
He can't do anything about his fee but it looks like a complete waste of money.

he needs to put on about 2 stone and stop flying around like some kind of circus act when making saves.

I don't think so personally. First season he showed promise but was too small and prone to be pushed around. He is bigger this season and looks more confident. I think he will improve again next season.
I think next season is the one to judge him.

You are giving a 17 million keeper 3 seasons to prove he is good enough?

I would think his age is immaterial whilst he continues to make mistakes.

Again the money is immaterial, losing titles is not.

Let's see how th FA do with Fergies comments on the linesman after charging Allardyce for his comments last week, would be double standards to not charge Ferguson, surely?

And by that logic, having a keeper who was not such a good shot stopper but fantastic at dealing with crosses, and hadnt let that last minute goal in, United could have lost that game 3-1 rather than drawing it and at least gaining a point

Someone requote what allardyce said again? fergies comment was "i think hes had a really poor game, and was a poor decision" if its the same level then fair enough probs should be charged

Allardyce said that United get all the decisions at Old Trafford.
Fergie said that the linesman wasn't going to give the penalty as he gave "them" everything all game, he had a poor game.

Allardyce was rightly charged btw, I'm not denying that.
Even though he was right in what he said, and its what 90% of the country think anyway

I'd like him not to get charged just so I can see how angry people on here get about it

Oh, fergie has also singled out the linesman as it was the same one who gave the Drogba offside goal at OT a couple of years back saying he's always against Utd.

Won't make a shit of difference if he gets a ban. He'll just sit in the stands with a phone connected to the dugout like he has in the past.
It's an almost pointless ban really as it has little to no effect! Should be like the bans in Europe where they can't have contact
