I was looking into renting one of them last week. But you only get it as a static display piece.

Will get a pic of the one at work. Nothing like that. More of a camper. But still cool looking American thing.

McLaren F1. If there's any left after Mister Bean has had his fill of smashing em up
I'd also like an F40, A 959 and an Escort Cosworth please.

I'm not into cars that roll into 6 figures, even if I had millions sitting I don't think I'd have Ferraris and what not about. My realistic dream car is a Toyota

He was neither referring to a rally car or a mk2 escort so what's your point?

Well, it was the middle of the night and I was tired, intoxicated and on strong prescription medication, so I was perhaps a little brief and vague. My apologies for this Steve.
The point I was trying to make was that the Ford Escort, in spite of it's humble origins, is the most prolific and succesfull competition vehicle ever.
This includes the Mk I, the MK II and the Escort Cosworth in various guises. All the above are still used to great effect to this day in national and international events, plus other areas of motorsport.
People like Martin Hadland have built and prepared Escorts with huge power figures that can show far more exotic machinery up.
The Escort Cosworth was always an impressive looking and rarely seen car anyway, so it's not such an unusual choice in my opinion.
I'd definitely have at least one if I had all the money in the world.
