So do I really, but he's scared of the maintenance costs. I'm not really surprised after watching the Fast N' Loud F40 episodes and finding out the price of even just a windscreen

The GT3 RS will be a much safer bet.

This is a bit of a "cool story bro" post, but I'm still searching for the right GT3RS.

It's been so long since we started the search that my dad decided to open up the search to include a GT2 RS too.

As someone on Pistonheads said, "So, you've struggled to find rocking horse shit, now you're looking for unicorn tears".

I totally understood their scepticism as I believe there are only 8 RHD GT2 RS left in the country, but believe it or not, after a few hours I was speaking to an owner who decided he wanted to sell.

The car was beautiful. 1 owner from new. 1500 miles. Immaculate condition. Very nice spec.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, the guy just wanted too much money for it and my dad wasn't convinced it was worth it, plus he still has his heart set on a GT3 RS and he could buy two of them for the price of this or add a little more and have a CGT.

I think it's a decision he'll live to regret.
He ignored my advice about a 993 GT2 and an F40 and look how they've gone...

Here's the car. 620bhp, 205mph. What an awesome beast that would have been to have

Close to quarter of a million I think.

He talked about how the last low mileage one went for £220k a while ago and since a few of the UK allocation have now left the country and they're getting rarer and prices are only going one way...

Apparently very useable day to day, but a monster when you want it.
Best of both worlds.

It's easy to say he should get it if the price is only going to rise. But if it's not what he's after, it's not what he's after.

At the end of the day you don't exactly buy a car as an investment.

Not just twin turbo, the gt3 doesn't have a turbo at all.

620 bhp instead of 450 bhp.
Also only 500 world wide instead of about 2000.

One will kill you before you can blink

Definetly would never lose money on the GT2 RS if that's how rare they are but like someone said if that's not what he wants then what's the point. My mates Dad just bought a lovely GT3 RS in black and orange, it's such a nice car and handled so well at Brands.

This just about sums up his group of mates

Christ, that's lovely graham.

So gt1 would be the best of the best? I thought the higher the number, the better.

Mind you, f1 works that way I suppose.

Porsche people are weird, the gt2 being fastest isn't always classed as best.
