Plus half the people trying to dance on her grave are 100% labour voters and if they want the pedantic line, are indirectly responsible for the Iraq war and the death of 180 British servicemen and untold Iraqi civilians as well as the destruction of all of Britians gold wealth and raping of the benefits system, health and safety and mass immigration wh much ultimately out priced half of their voters from employment #justsayin

Good to see people celebrating Thatchers death on the streets of London ...she wouldnt have wanted it any other way. In Maggies own words ..."There is no such thing as society" As long as 10% of society stayed rich at the expense of the other 90% she really didnt care what anyone said about her. People seem to think the fact she was a committed, conviction politician is something to celebrate .... well so was Hitler, and he was much more successful in uniting his country and repairing his economy than Margaret Thatcher was....so I guess we should have some respect for old Adolf as well....or maybe not eh. Makes me laugh how people moan about our society being damaged ...then hail this woman whos' aim was to destroy society and let everyone fend for themselves Have a look at her involvement with General Pinochet and in Iraq - truly shameful. She started a war in Argentina rather than taking the very simple steps to avoid it. A fierce anti smoker who ended up on the board of the biggest Tobacco company - hows that for conviction? She got exactly what she and presumably all those who like her wanted ..... a broken society where the gap is insurmountable and still growing between the rich and the poor, a society where miltary funding is given higher priority than looking after the vulnerable, a country where we are held ransom for our energy and transport costs ...rather than owning them ourselves and a country where our industry was sold or destroyed to fund tax cuts for the super rich ..... oh yeah, but she did get rid of the unions - and thank god, because we are so happy in our jobs now - and unemployment and strikes are a thing of the past! Thanks to Thatchers politics - our economy is based around London - and its booming at the moment isnt it- after all, what could go wrong from destroying industry and hoping London banking can carry the economy by itself. So lets all raise a glass to Margaret Thatcher - because at least she stood up for what she believed in - even if she did hate and despise most of you who are showing her respect.

You really had to live it to understand it re: the hate.
Interest rates went up so fast so quickly (by 5%) to counter the ERM fuckfest.
Everybody felt shafted, a totally bleak outlook from everybody I knew living here. Then the poll tax.
I could write a bloody essay but Ian asked for one; so I wont

Wasn't it more the fact she didn't give any sort of hope for the miners made redundant with regards to new work, which is why there was so much anger. The mines closing were painful but necessary, but the lack of hope for the workers was the final nail in the coffin.
Hated the way she was involved with the Hillsborough cover-up. Seen a few documentaries and it sounds like there was complete farce trying to blame it on the fans. Well, we knew that anyway after last years revelations.
