Looks great mate.. But please weld a bar in mate.
If your in an accident that brace will just snap straight off
It's only strength is the damper top studs and that's no strength at all mate.
I'm just advising from a safety point matey. It's not worth it

eBay mate just type in 80mm pipercross filter. It's a tight fit and a bit of chopping but it goes in

Cheers Col, it's been changed since this pic as the belts wernt long enough to go over my shoulders properly anyway. Your right though it offers no protection and they are now bolted to the original rear seat mounts

Interior plastics have been all painted and very happy with them, saves me faffing bout for a decent set of black ones anyway!
Bought a Stage 1 Hybrid Turbo
Forge Actuator
Some Bosch Red Injectors
Evo 5 Chips
Gave the turbo another blast of freshness recently and painted the actuator bracket black and fitted up the actuator.

Managed to find a pic of the painted up plastics I thought I would share
Set about getting the injector seals, baskets all changed over and gave them a decent clean up ready for fitment
Was a pretty straight forward job and only took me around 20 mins to get all sorted

Right so the phase 3 conversion.......
off with the little parts, front bumper and usual bits and bobs
Got the Hybrid out and changed the rubber on the forge actuator as it was looking a little worn
Right got her all fitted up, new gaskets where required and the usual clean up of parts along the way for freshness
Then on with the Saab injectors which I had already cleaned up with new seals etc
Then the ECU to fit the Evo 5 Phase 3 chips
And she all back together and finished.............time for a road test after some food as its been a long day. Need to set up the boost and ill have to book it in for a rolling road tune just to double check / tweak the fueling etc
Been for a blast a its an animal!!! Happy with the boost etc I dont want to go mad so its set at a max of 18 PSI
Roll on PVS............

On the way home from PVS I had some gearbox issues with selecting 5th gear. For some reason wont go in despite no crunching etc. I think its time to man up for a quaife diff F20. Im sure it will be something silly as 1-4 gears working spot on. Ive checked the linkage and cant see it being that so............

Apologies for the lack of update............
Well after the gearbox issue the hunt began for a Quaife F20 Box or just a diff. Wasnt too long before I stumbled across a F20 with TRANS X diff. Not knowing much about the diff I stated looking into this but finlly decided against it. Couple of reasons mainly the TransX diff needs maintenance and a proper set up. The quaife which ive driven in a LET before is maintenance free and a good option for fast road use etc...
So I turned down the TRANS X and the hunt continued. Managed to find a box in Leicester
The owner had recently blown up his LET engine and he was going to scrap his project. The diff had only covered 2000 miles, the box had a once over and new seals etc etc
So went up to collect it and parted with some hard earned cash
All looks good, bought a new gasket set for the box

Started stripping the box down by cleaning it all up, wire wheels and lots elbow grease. Came up pretty good, decided silver with black arm was the way forward this time
All prepped and ready for paint
really happy with the final result, def worth all that scrubbing
