Is that one on ScoobyNet Brett?

I know there is a JDM Blob floating around that had an engine failure, so has now got a UK engine in it.

If that one is not Twinscroll, it could be that car.

Though that's not to say a UK engine can't have a twinscroll turbo and a JDM engine can't have a singlescroll. I believe you need to change the downpipe and sump in addition to the turbo.

Glad I posted now, as far as I've seen and been told, there's nothing about engine change.

Sorry, not Scoobynet. It was on 22b.

I'm not sure if its yours - just saying it could explain the singlescroll!

Oh fuck, look at the spec, its the same car

Has the JDM goodies:
Roof flap
Rear wiper
Tinted glass on the rear
Sweeping dials on startup
Clutch only start
Shorter ratio gearbox

Modifications:
Full stainless exhaust
Front mount I/C
Syvecs ECU with anti lag and launch control (the best and very expensive)
Mirrored dials
Perrin front and rear ARB's
Perrin 3 port boost solenoid

Kenwood DNX7200 sat nav unit, amp and sub in boot.

Goes very well and sounds amazing. Very tight with no leaks, rattles etc

Well if the new engine has even less miles its happy days, had he have mentioned I wouldn't of been asssed. It's the deceit.

It's a tough one. He's asking £8.5k on the 22b advert which is really quite cheap for a JDM Widetrack, however... you're losing one of the defining features of a JDM Blobeye!

The car looks tidy, and it's still a really good spec - but the principal of not being told about the engine change would be enough to make me think twice. He was pretty honest on the 22b advert, so why not be honest with you?

He's possibly realised that despite having a really tidy car - it won't sell because the UK engine scares many people away. They might as well pay £8k for a UK Widetrack and swap the dials and headlights, bolt on a roof flap - then it's pretty much the same thing, without a questionable history.

PMSL Well being completely honest, I'd rather keep the burble lol

I've spoken to him anyway, apparantly him telling me its not twin scroll was him saying its had an engine change lol I guess if I wasn't so retarded I may've grasped that? So the newer engine has 20k less on it, new cam belt, etc. I'm thinkin still go for it.

I reckon it would be hard to sell on without the JDM spec mate. Is it much cheaper? I would avoid myself

Based on what Brett has told me in U2U - I'm now of the firm stance that he should buy the car

Oh c'mon spill why should he buy it?

Well just got back from my viewing, 03 blob eye, 84k all receipts, full service history, new brakes tyres and 15k ago a new clutch and cam belt done 12k ago

But walked away, why? Bodywork was shocking, had ecidence of poor paint all over (I was under the impression a few small areas, car needed a repaint to put right)

Test drive, pretty good, car was quick but not the 340bhp remapped good that he claimed, felt a little slow if I'm honest

Was up for 6995, never was going to pay that, low balled him at 5750 he said he would take, 6, I said I would think about it, but in all fairness...I think I will find a better one

Ohwell...back to the drawing board

Oh and another big mistake the seller made, left the 5k receipt for when he bought the car last year with 60k on the clock in amongst the paperwork of old mots that found whilst he was getting petrol on the test drive, cheeky begger....defo not buying it now I thought lol

This is what I mean, people seem to think they're worth more now, prices have crept up. I blame these specialist dealers buying them all.
