to be honest I would've thought it'd have more how much? I'm not sure. Mines a 1.4 tsi with 180bhp admittingly mine also has a supercharger.
A Honda Civic built in '98 has more power from a N/A 1.6, does that make your turbo and supercharged car shit?

He means those cars would of had to be bought outright not on finance like the corsa and he won't of been able to afford to do that hence the finance option. I think, if that's not what he meant then I agree it's a stupid statement

So you cant get finance on second hand cars now?
Or maybe he means cost of parts? The miles steve would do in a weekend car would be pretty low id think.. The extra money on running it would be saved in depreciation too
Cant see any other argument

if the engine is like that of a 2009 one then they are stupid on fuel
we struggled to get over 30mpg in ours
great car but very unrefined and overtime become tiresome of the refinement (or lack of)
Looks nice in white but not sure on the cease on the doors or the front end
Interior looks good but if I remember the seat position is far too high

Got mine for 17.2k
Could have gotten loads of second hand things for the same or less probs
you didn't pay that did you
I remember ours was a list price of 16.8k with the 18's and we paid 12.2k
It was the only car in which we lost 2k in 2 years buying it brand new
