That's not what he said - he said you'll struggle as an individual to get a similar figure.
Quite obviously they're paying less and amortising a lower amount and the difference is their profit, I think Tom's point is he doesn't care how they do it - the fact they can and do is what you as a buyer need to be interested in.

the price of a 1.0 + that upgrade pack could buy you the st and probably still have change.

Yep, seems a bit strange to go down that route, tax and insurance isn't too bad on the ST either, less than tuning a 1.0 anyway.
I don't really want 200bhp, have corrado for that and didn't want to make it obsolete

The deal was definitely a good deal and can see why a lot of people do it if i hadn't had the money sitting around and it was golf r, I'd probably lease it.

With pedal (not great but i never really see it)
Washed it as well because it was dirty
Fitted the S badge to the grill

Pics, nice to see corrado in a couple, its a 1995 Volkswagen Corrado VR6, leather recaros and de-airconned

Tbh CS could go back to just one forum these days, it only got split up because it was so busy on here during the 2003-2010 post-rush.
