Aye is a very good player, would be a good signing if we can get him (fee reported of around £10-12m) and then the rest of the Masch fee on another forward.

Getting rid of the disruptive Masch for good money could well be a blessing. I'd rather 2 decent players who want to play for my club, then 1 very decent player who has wanted out for a year.

Re-signed Aurelio

good idea tbh, we deserpately need LBs and as long as he is only cover he should remain injury free all season.

“There are four or five clubs in Europe that you would have to say as a player would be a dream to play for,” said the Werder Bremen star. “United and Chelsea are very much two of them.

“When you are looking at moving clubs, it’s impossible not to pay attention to United and Chelsea. I am a winner and, when I am looking for a new club, I simply look at where I can be the most successful and where I can win the most trophies.

“If you look at the recent history of United and Chelsea then it’s clear that a player can be very successful there.”

They had better at least make a bid for him and test the water.

Players who say Chelsea are one of the top 5 clubs in europe, maybe as a team they are, but they certainly aren't as a club

If he stays fit for the majority of the season I think he will be top goalscorer. But that is a massive if

Surely its frustrating as hell with him being injured so much though? Its annoying having the players we have out injured, never mind someone that scores as many goals as Torres does.

Of course it's frustrating, it's usually when he's been away on international duty as well which makes it worse, but even if we have him fit for 2/3 he'll make a massive contribution, the key is getting a decent back up in for him.
