Alot of our lesser rated players have been linked with moves away this summer, Gibson, O'shea, J.Evans etc, I'm surprised we haven't tried offloading Obertan yet though? especially if we have Ashley Young coming in? - although there seems to be less talk of the Young deal ATM

It's our standard tack with making new players feel welcome, a nickname with 'o' at the end 
We seriously didn't pay £20m for him, it's only sky who banded that figure about. Sunderland said £19m, we said £16m. I expect it's somewhere between the two figures including add ons.

I know your club haven't had much to do with buying players recently but that's a bit silly bob.
If he was french he would have cost £10m, because he's british we pay the british tax, it's just the way it is. I don't agree with it but what can you do? If he turns out to be a great player for us, at least he's not going to worry about pissing back off abroad....
