Clio too old and too costly. Will be new or nearly new, most likely diesel and incredibly un-exciting. Need a house.

I am just about to apply to remove my plate then it is going up for sale. Going to be heartbreaking as I genuinely thoughjt I could afford to keep this forever. But alas no.
I will be asking £3895ono including Hardtop. This will not include the xenons or Alpine screen/nav.

I think its priced fairly. Certainly a lot cheaper than the dreamers on PH. Its 16years old and not perfect. But its reliable, fast and looks fantastic. MOT till July next year too

Yeah it is, remembered seeing James bought the AMG paddles but never saw them fitted properly, so popped him a PM and bought them off him.

To be fair they aren't sitting in the wheel perfectly, but good enough at least for now. Thanks again for them.

Nothing but time wasters so far. Taken it off for a couple of weeks.
Got a bit of a rough idle and it struggled to start one morning, considering that I had already replaced Inlet hoses I did some research and all signs pointed to the VANOS. So decided to invest to make sure the car was healthy before I sold it.
Replacing the solenoid seals and renewing the gaskets and bolts on the inlet and exhaust solenoids in the VANOS assembly.
seals and gaskets/bolts came to an eye watering £85 from BMW, but much better than needed a new vanos assembly for £2500 or new cams as well. (Don't even wanna know how much that would be!)
Didn't take many pics as I was busy and it was largely poor light. Once the covers where removed it was clear there was a slight bit of a leak, although not massive as they usually are. This would enforce the fact my car doesn't use any oil, and shows that it is just in time.
Pic of the exhaust side cover, here
Can clearly see it had seeped through the gasket and also pooled out the solenoid connector end also.
Bit of oil residue and shit(should be silver)
So all in and taken for a spin, throttle response is hugely improved, lower gears pick up is fantastic and the engine is so smooth and much quieter now. If I had known how easy this was and how relatively cheap I would have done this the weekend after I got the car.
Anyway for those interested, here's a write up from someone who had it much worse than me to illustrate what was done:

Big thanks to Shrek for doing all the work safely and professionally!
