Thats bullshit, he had his chances to come back to us on a great contract yet didnt. I dont think for one minute he'd of turned down a good offer from you (£50k a week basic from what Ive heard) for less than half that with us.

Anyway, the article is written by Bascombe who is just trying to stir shite up as he likes to do for us.

Yeah before Newcaslte.

RM wanted to sell him, Newcaslte offered more than us, we told him to hold out for a move to us but he took the stupid money Newcastle were offering him.

Would have been a very good move for him going back to you then, as has already been said Newcastle needed him there and then but you could have eased him back and used him sparingly.

Meh, Im glad he didnt come back, I didnt want him and his injuries obviously hadnt gone as he only played 11 games for Newcastle that first season.
