Where the fuck has so much swarf come from? Have you had anything shot blasted that hasnt been fully cleaned out?

The ONLY bit of metalic content on a fresh engine build in the sump whilst running in should be off the piston rings bedding in.

Proper wounder.

Was going to say the oil pump teeth look in tact, seen much worse oil pumps then that. Bet the teeth are scored to death now though.

What rods did you have in this Ben?

Fucking hell, I don't think I had that much crap in my sump, when my pump gave up. I drove it 12 miles home knocking it's tits off.

Fair play for getting back on it. Can you think of anything else that needs doing? It might be worth sorting them out whiles it's apart.

If the pump looks ok, it might be worth just getting the uprated inner gear from SBD, like I did.

If the teeth aint scored the pump is still good to go in that aspect, just a shame about the relief valve. From memory Dewis had issues with his Z-Let relief valve sticking so double check everything. Take your relief valve and oil pump to a machiners and get them to check clearence.

Iv just sold a set of them rods as iv upgraded to Arrow's. Bar being a little heavy they aint bad rods.
