I'm quite looking forward to the SP in BF3, although I will admit CoDs SP campaigns since MW have been brilliant.

Been a while since I've played it
pretty much, you had to do certain things to get different ranks like spend 150hours in a plane or some shit..
it would work as long as you got the weapons etc out of the way by say level 40 then the next 10 levels are purley down to the time you put in etc.

Commo rose not in Beta but will be in the full game
quote: The Commo Rose is a feature that was first introduced in Battlefield 2 and is confirmed to be making a comeback in the PC version of Battlefield 3. By holding the “Q” button, the rose is brought up, displaying several options around a ring containing the “spotted” option. These allow you to quickly send messages to your teammates simply by clicking one of them. It was implemented as a quicker way for team members, without mics or headsets, to communicate with one another.

quote: The web browsers that will support Battlefield 3′s Battlelog have been revealed by DICE.
Battlelog will be supported by all three major browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome). Safari and Opera will run the service, though it’s not guaranteed to run bug free. Joakim Bodin, Battlelog Developer for DICE revealed the information on Twitter:
“Battlelog supports launching with IE8+, Firefox 4+ and Chrome. Safari and Opera on Windows may work fine, but no guarantees.”
Bodin also mentioned that Flash Player will not be required to run the service.

So it's not in the console versions then?

Typical that is, the commo rose is the one thing that I always felt was missing from Bad Company and now they aren't even putting it in BF3!!
Fucking jokers I swear

I hope it's just a system where you can just click "Q" for example then choose 1-9 for them commands, rather then messing about clicking them.
You only need to say "enemy spotted" so there is a little orange blip above them and to ask for a ride in a vehicle.

Pretty sure in BC2 if you press select on the PS3 controller whilst looking at a target or vehicle or an engineer, medic etc. it will shout the relevant command. e.g. attack this position or give me some ammo. Doesn't do go, go, go, thankyou or anything like that though.

There's screen shots all over the web that a dev has obviously released, as these are shots no one has ever seen before.
(white border is on the dev kit only)
Single player jet mission (bad quality)

Will be the programme to capture the pics, although we already know Xbox and PS3 will be running sub HD.

and they also stated that they wont hold back, they will wring every bit of system performance they can from the consoles, so they said the ps3 would look better.

Must be the program that recorded the images then as BC2 has better graphics than that, on PS3 at least

That's just a few screen shots though, they will never look as good as the game when you're playing it. Every game is like that, people always say it looks shit etc until they play the game. The SS above looking down the sights looks better than BC2 just from a quick screen shot.

of cause danny your not wrong, id rather have a worse looking game at 100fps than a nice looking game at 30fps.
i just ordered my new mouse last night, 4G Razor Imperator 6400dpi hopefully that should sort my mouse issues out from bfbc2. really hard to snipe as you can move the mouse a tiny bit but the crosshair doesnt but then jumps about 5 pixels lol its as if a pixel is 5x5 normal pixels but only does it left / right usually up / down works.

the only thing you cant really see from crap screenies is colour contrasts as it usually looks crap, you can normally tell texture quality even onbad screenshots. the textures above look ok but deffinatly no dx11

The screenshots look alright, about on a par with BC2 which still looks fucking great on 360 imo.

If it looks like bfbc2 with the new big maps on pc I will be happy.
As it's a alpha there is still a beta then final product, they wouldn't run full graphics settings just to test the game for bugs.
