Where you think the swarf came from which jammed the relief valve?

I make/sell Nylon Relief Valves aswell for XE's and LET's

Nylon Relief Valves want just putting in the bin they are poo

cleaned up some of the parts to make sure no swarf was anywhere



drilled and tapped the inlet for the water fitting



and greg and greame dixon went for a road trip and stoped of at steveboyslims for me to collect some bits

2.0 head gasket



8v baffle plate and bottom end gasket kit



head gasket set



shims that sit in the buckets not on the valves



steel rods



arp rod bolts



0.25 oversize bigend bearings



modified pick up pipe



z let pump





just need the piston rings that should be here on tues/wed and the main bearings which steve is posting me

Inlets have one that comes out the back and mine has been blocked off up till now

greg - that was forst time even though i did drill breather out rocker to wash out, but 2nd time i put a guage in and changed o/p 3 times all ended up sticking even with polishing relief. o/p guages tend to be engine savers.

ouch thats quite a lot. will see if i can get a pick up modded myself. can get a new pump and std pipe from vauxhall for about 180-200

just found out my stack oil pressure gauge has this feature on it so will look to set it up

can you remember how long your fuel lines were from your pump to your injection manifold? as im planning carbs but just a bit un'certain as to how much i should order,

this is to be expected tho when going over the 500bhp mark tho




old rod v new rod



gearbox has had a respray



took oil cooler of to clean it



bolts have been cleaned up and have orded some arp assembly lube



took out the 2 grub screws to get to the oil gallery on the back

cambelt end


gearbox end



power washed the block for about 30 mins lol, made sure no swarf was left inside



then airline



and 2 tins of brake cleaner lol



and painted block

Hmmm.

Silver will deffo look better at first,clean looking but black will be better in the long run for when it gets abit mucky. :/

Don't know what to do.
