6412ft and 36 miles. Been a good couple of rides in the lakes with draper. Gave the remedy a decent test and worryingly it's capable of going much harder and faster than I have been! Bloody awesome bike. 36t on front and a 36 on back, managed just fine.

Two great days riding in the Lakes with Nic, had a really good time and he has been a great guide. Shame the weather put pay to a few plans but the riding we did was great and I will definitely be back a good few times before the end of the year.

Massive thanks to Nic for sorting the routes out

Having slightly wider bars causes me a few issues of clipping trees last night until one stuck out too much the bars caught it and then flipped me clean over the front. Funny stuff in the local woods.

Fell out with the reverb seat post. Tried to bleed it and now it doesn't work. It's not my fault at all....

did glen tress black route today. 18 miles and 3800ft of climbs. hard work with the 36t on front. worth it though. more of a cross country trail than anything, some awful climbs involved, but one section called deliverance which is a run through a valley was pretty good today.

Finally got round to getting the back brake bled up. Much easier than I thought, kinda like doing avids really. Even though I only rode the bike 6 mile to my mates, it's definitely way harder on the road than the road bike, to be expected mind but even compared to my old trek fuel.

Rebuilt my MTB and upgraded to an SLX groupset this week.

Went for a blast around Woburn Sands today - not been there for about 10 years! The jumps section has changed so much, really enjoyed hammering it down the little trails they've carved out there

Woburn has changed because it got bull dozed. Now has proper committee looking after it etc. Was better 6 months ago.

In other news, Josh "Ratboy" Bryceland is in surgery for multiple fractures and dislocations on his ankle/ankles. He finished the last 200m like that...

That bike would definitely benefit from a shorter stem greater control
