Let me know how that goes. Always concerned about whether it could cope with the swinging weight of the bag

Havent thought about that tbh.

Have you bolted yours to the ground.

Having had a skullcrusher mishap, and now a bench issue, i think its money well spent. Safety always comes first.

Thats exactly my motto! Not bolted to ground no as mine is in the dinning room. I push it into the corner when not in use and its hidden by a big screen I have made.

I had the exact plan with the punch bag but my mate pointed it out to me so I never invested.

To be fair it handles 90kg ish when I am doing pullups easily

Had a very scary moment with 110kg on my back once. managed to get it down onto the bars safely and shuffle out!

Whilst sqautting u mean?

So without it bolted down, u feel fine hanging on the front of it, or having 100kg plus on a bar on it?

Do u have the lat bars?

Yeah while squatting. Looking back what I did was stupid and lesson learnt.

I have no problem with doing pullups or even 100kg plus bar on it without it being bolted down. In fact there are no holes for it to be bolted down, well not on mine anyway.

I have the lat pulldown however its in my parents garage as mine needs olympic weights so when I upgrade i will be putting that back on.

yea its crazy prices. I noticed for anyone else needing normal sized stuff that argos have a bit of a sale on. I got some 5kg plates for my dumbells, and they were 21 instead of 32 i think it was. Which makes them £1 kg, which is a good rate now

Me and James and another friend (Darren) have just done the shoulders and arms, it didn't affect my knee so had a go, I feel more burn now than I do on my normal regimes, maybe not because of the size of weights or reps but because of the variety of order of the exercises, I think James may need an extra days rest in between workouts though as his arms and back are still hurting him from Monday's chest and back workout, so basically all he's done today is rip unhealed muscle fibres.

I found that in my first week (if you go back you'll see me post about not being able to straighten my arms properly for about 3 days!) - it dodnt happen anywhere near as bad the second week though, and basically went for the 3rd onwards.

Yeah, James is a bit like Paul, if he gets setback, he gets downbeat and ends up packing up! Which is why I've given him my full backing and even if I feel shit myself, I'll still train with him so he doesn't get tempted to give up.

Although I was curling 30's and he was doing 17.5's and trying to match me and failing miserably so I had to pretend I wanted to do more reps with lighter weights so he didn't feel like a loser.

I need to convert to Kilos for you P90X'ers don't I?

I don't really need to work on my arms, maybe just tone, the diet will never be a problem as I've always been a healthy muncher anyway.

I was reading that thinking you meant kg. I'm going to start at 12.5 KG as I max out at about 7-8 reps with that weight
