Heard a rumour from one of my man u fan mates that the reason Gary Neville has retired now is because he is the footballer who was involved in the latest court injunction sex scandal.

Him and Darren Bent were superb in the 04/05 season.

Hes a lump of lard though, has a first touch similar to a brick.

That was all he was good for, and he doesn't even do that any more

tbf he's ok in the championship, was poor in the premiership for Blackburn (i think it was) though

Bit of a maverick that guy, always either looks world class or no better than pub team.

He'll probably do Newcastle a turn for 6 months.

Apparently his wages are rock bottom and TBH he'll probably play more the rest of the season than the kid you're paying £80k a week

Agree, with a decent pacy striker he works really well. But at 34 it might be a step too far now.

But good to bring on in the 89th minute when you are 1-0 up and need to get the ball forward and keep it there.

I hate it when players get called 'internationals' when they have played part of 1 friendly

Micheal Ricketts England international

Judging by the papers I'm guessing Bale.
