went down the rolling road today for something to do.

my mate manners and his girlfriend joanne were there with joanne's nova c20xe.

then vxr-james'd vectra vxr thats owned by someone called james decided it was time to do a bit of remapping on it. first up, quick test to see what its like before.

take traction control fuse out and even with the air con running it made 272bhp which isnt far off book bhp at all. air con off would have seen a fwe more bhp.

so on to the remapping.



the remapping is done via the location for the phone cradle which you have to carefully remove.







eventually we got it out the way and unplugged the wiring.



then it was time for some lap top treatment and an ecu custom code map made by kentec tuning FTW.









the results actually suprised us all

due to the kentec tuning FTW tuning device, the phone cradle no longer can be used. so replace with a funky cup holder from a vectra elite model.



all in all, a very good day out.

went down the rolling road. had a bit of a failed attempt on the corsa. but anyway some other stuff first.





16 year old adams home made inlet plenum for bike throttle bodies.





which is for his 1800 k series engine in his sierra.



that will also be supercharged. he has 2 weeks to get it finished as its 1/4 mile day 2 weeks tomorrow (saturday)

then the jdm escort mk1 v6



it runs



9inch wide wheels











winner ken-tec ftw. also has 2 weeks to be completed for drag day. some graft to do.

so put corsa on rollers.







all very exciting. although it had problems. kept trying to climb out and kept spinning up the rollers. so at 5k revs on 1.5 bar boost it makes 460 ish bhp and 421lb/ft. ive no idea what it makes above 5000rpm as the fucker wouldnt stay in rollers. a shade of 500bhp id say at 7k happily.

basically put it on to check all fuelling and engine etc was all behaving itself after its stone incidents. happily yes, seems good so far.

oh forgot to mention that heavy rain and driving through puddles nearly lost a side skirt. its just hanging on by the last 2 clips. something to fix tomorrow.
