Let's get this topic back on track. Today I drove my car to the gym. I'm not in work until later tonight so had a bit of time off today to do things and relax a bit. I averaged 33.2mpg which is pretty good going for such a performance car in town traffic. I'm going to order some Lockwood sill protectors for it I think. To protect the sills.

Edit - sorry forgot to mention this was my 7r I was driving.

Any good? Want them for mine next, but not sure whether the extra cost is justified?

I found the Goodyear F1s just as good as the michelins. Not worth the extra £40 each IMO.

Nothing exciting, but very time consuming.

Spent about 5 hours yesterday trying to fit new handbrake cables from front to back to be suited to new disc beam.

After lots of head scratching and pissing about, cable was just too long, which made no sense as Vauxhall only sell one length cable. So ordered gm cables, fitted those and same issue.

Turns out Vauxhall made a fuck up with brackets on rear beam on some cars and typically I have that fuck up. Vauxhall no longer make or sell (neither does anybody else) the shorter cabled for this beam.
So after a lot of pissing about I found somebody to ship me the new brackets, and was all on and working in about half hour. So much agro, for a handbrake
