XE has pocketed pistons anyway paul... look like standard items to me

And I firmly beleive a corsa with an XE "should" be running high 14's
same as a civic type R "should" be...

deciding factor is the fella sitting in the drivers seat pushing the pedals

my mate has a CTR and we are aleays saying we are going to try and find someplace for a wee play, my T4 vs his CTR

Standard stats for mine are 200bhp, 0-60=6.7 secs and quarter in 15.2..

One day we will get it done and i will post results..

wow that's pretty cool, didn't know they were pocketted standard.

Yeh I guess most should run high 14's - but the majority I've seen don't.

Guess you get different engines, just like you do on the 106's - some make nice amounts of power standard, some don't, some do 15's standard, some don't.

About as usable as Leprocey.

Now your talking! Turbo diesels rock!

I was saying they suck balls Is Leprocey usable?

.

forgot to delete leporacy bit.

I have only ever run up the qtr three times, just for a laugh, in my old Astra GTE 16v...

first run was 15.4 @ 90mph
2nd run was 15.3 @90mph
3rd run was 15.2 @ 91mph

each run my 60ft time was more than 2.4 seconds, which is pants really!!!
I just couldnt stop the wheels squeeling in 1st gear....
put it down to too much torque low down!

I reckon the 106 gti pulls excellent qtrs as it has a very useable amount of power, and can nail first gear without lighting up the tarmac

I have raced my mate in his CTR before my car was remapped from a rolling start 30mph in 2nd gear
up to about 60 he pulled away but after 80 he struggled to keep in front and by 100 I was past him

thing I loved about having leather was watching people slide about in the back when you take corners. Also found it very comfortable for back seat action with the missus.

My mate took a 3 mile journey in the boot of my 106 Gti last week. Not comfortable apparently. Especially on a Bilstein full kit

Im baffled how he managed to fit

In the corsa I found putting the front seats forward gave about enough room. GF's short and skinny so there was enough room to get her knealing on the back seat with the rest of her on the parcel shelf doing it doggy style.

I'd call my car 'a mildly tuned 106 gti' - and I reckon your car won't be that much quicker.

Hence Pod to settle it.
