I was debating between white and black, thing black will tie in nicely with the bumpers though
Had the car rolling roaded yesterday. It didn't do too bad, but the power came back at less than I expected. The ignition timing set up incorrectly is suspected to be some of the problem. Hopefully have it back to the garage in a few weeks to get it sorted and try and pull some power back.

When I stripped it out I was going for a bit of a rally look. Was going to stick bonnet pins etc on (even fancied spot lamps! maybe showing my age!).
Plan now is to clean things up a bit and see what happens. I think the new wheels will transform it.
Don't want to spend much more on it though, hopefully treat myself to something new in the New Year.

Now single wiper-ed:
Got a smooth arm cover to fit, but need to secure it a bit better than what was supplied. Also got the wash kit, but that can wait for a day when its not as cold outside!

UPDATE
Got some more bits to do now for 2008.
Awaiting some 16" Speedline Alessio 2's which are gloss Black. Will tweak the suspension set-up depending on what the car looks like with the wheels on, got a feeling I'll go -60mm all round (had -40mm with 16s on a previous GSi and it looked too high up).
Also awaiting some genuine Irmscher side skirts! Will hopefully have these fitted in early spring along with som facelift, part-painted bumpers. Also got a tailgate to go on with a genuine Vauxhall spoiler.
Also plan to fit a larger starter motor, as the 1.2 one it has on at the moment is beginning to go (its also 1/2 the size of a 1.6 one).
Exhaust back box may also be changed to a single pipe Magnex.
Hopefully updated pics to follow in the New Year

Collected and fitted my Speedlines today. They looks really good fitted, I'm really happy with them. Think I'm going to have to lower it 60mm on the front now as they're is more of a gap than the rear. Will do that come the New Year. Then Spoiler next I think

Hmm, not sure on the wheels, probably the shade, think a nice, bright silver would finish them off a treat
Are the sideskirts staying black to match the arches?

Now have smooth front and rear post-97 bumpers to go with the Irmscher side skirts. Just waiting to see if I can get a Irmscher splitter and then off to the bodyshop. Think everything will be painted White. Wheels may also eventually go White too

Had the front lowered 60mm yesterday on P.I. springs (like the rear). Is a 'bit' firm to say the least, but think the gas shocks aren't helping things. Oh well!
