the mighty integra, best handling fwd car ever vs a corsa round a track, it sure out handles the corsa and out accelerates it. NOT. corsa has 2 people in aswell, extra weight.

because...it's driveable, when you want to have fun you can, when you want to poodle you can, it's very economic out of vtec, it 'feels' like your driving a racing car when it's in vtec, i love the sound, and they prove to be fairly quick, (i have only driven a DC2 JDM 96 spec and 2 DC5's)

wow, ctr's really do out handle corsa's round tracks, not.

I hope that was standard for standard

no, its a lesser powered engine in a small car everyone hates that probably cost 2 grand to throw together showing that a 10 grand car that everyone says is awsome, isnt.

a 20xe corsa is more driveable, and faster than a ctr and costs less and doesnt sound like a wasp tring to escape a marmite jar

Standard Corsa V Standard Type R

Thats the only fair comparison that can be made. Throw money at a Honda and its handling, grip, acceleration and top speed would improve like a Corsa does when you throw money at it!

I hate it when people compare modified cars to more expensive standard cars, yes you can make cheaper cars better than expensive cars BUT you can make expensive cars even better too.

I disagree with you muppetsport, no one has said that a 2.0 xe corsa that has suspension mods etc wouldn't beat a civic, so get off your high horse and stop trying to cause a debate over nothing.

the fastest or one of the fastest civic type-r's in the country runs a supercharger, 350 ish bhp and ive raced it on the strip vs a std corsa let. thats a tuned up civic that is, it beat me by 0.4 of a second. it also had racing slicks, i had road tyres and a fucked turbo. so modified vs modified, if i had spent as much as him, well id be doing a 9 second run

give it a rest

If you threw £2000 at a 1.6 sport you can more than double its power. I sincerely doubt you can do that to a Type R.

Yeah. So throw the 2k at the civic and keep the corsa standard.

Then watch it get raped by the CTR

You could make a shopping trolley go fast if you threw the money at it ffs

You gotta love these modified to standard arguements

A fully modified civic compared to a fully modified corsa the civic will win, You will probably spend more on modifying the civic but it's not a 15 year old run around is it???

yes, exactly. this is the real point i was trying to make, irrespective of price of cars. for 5 grand on mods after buying each car, a ctr would never, and i mean never, be as quick as the corsa

are you for real? i guess becuase you have driven sooooo many cars at the age of 18 you have driven a fully modified corsa then aswell???? fully modified including all suspension set up, good powered and balanced engine etc.

no, so please refrain from such rediculous comments, and go turn need for speed carbon off, open the front door, and smell the fresh air.

was just thinking that myself. and define "fully modified". The more you spend on the civic, the more you can spend on the corsa

Considering the Type R's already at 200bhp.. It'll be good going to get over 400bhp on 2k

You never stated which part of my statement you were questioning so I assumed you believed you can double a Type R's power on £2,000. And you can replace the 1.6 with a C20LET. From 106bhp to 202bhp.
