so what do I have to do to sign up for this?
Daimo, my car beat OJC's Astra VXR down the strip at pod the other day, even in 3rd gear I was pulling away from his car
I think my car is capable of doing a silly rate of knots at the end of the straight if I want it to.
but ok cool, I'll take it easy into that bend, Brands is one of the few 'well known' tracks I've not done in the UK.

You put your name on the list - done
the list gets sent of to MSV
i provide all the booking details so you can ring up MSV and book and pay for the day - Because your on the list, MSV know your part of the corsasport group booking and you qulaify for the discount - as long as there are 10 people or more

He is driving it like a lemon then. Does the standard 1/4 in 14.5 @ 100mph. No offence matey, but u'll get stuffed, especially on anything more than the 1/4 mile (i've always said bottom end on the astra isn't all that impressive )
You'll be fine at Brands, watch some videos online and get a feel for the racing line of paddock. The inside kerb is also very low so not to bump cars up onto 2 wheels mid corner, and theres extra tarmac (although not as much as there used to be ) on the outside of paddock.
Its a short quick circuit. Power is nothing, handling and braking setup is everything.
Aim to get flat out through from Graham Hill up through Surtees through to McLaren and your cars doing well.

I done a huge project on BH when I was a little nipper. Brands has changed SO many times.
Used to be grass, and they used to go the other way round as well
I've just found some good stuff on PHB...
Now...
The 60's when PHB was MUCH MUCH more of a softer curver.. You can see how much further towards the left the whole bend goes. This whole curve (
bar the top) is now dug up and covered under gravel.
AWESOME!!! (looking back down from druids..)
Sprry, major post invasion
A rare shot of them going the other way...
OK Paul, I lied, heres a Beemer doing a rolly polly...

Important
right, spoke to MSV today, they have changed the day to an OPEN PITLANE DAY
what this means is there no sessions, meaning you can be out for as long as you want really, no 20 mins stints etc
this allows for loads and loads of more track time, only downside is, that it is more expensive, £199 to be exact, if we get 10 people we still get 10% discount, but if we get over 20, it will still be £157, which was originally quoted
that is a bargin for an open pitlane day, and at no other point at this time of year will you get close to that price at Brands Hatch, or any big circuit
so everyone that has put there name down needs to book, before the 2nd of march, we really really need to get over 20, as the price will be excelent, so anyone you know that wants to come along please get them to join in as well
BOOKING INFO
To book the day you need to call Nick or Alex on 01474875218
When booking you need to mention your part of the corsasport booking

just wondering more drivers on the track will it be more dangerous for unexperienced track day drivers such as myself?

no, as they dont let everyone out together, there is still a limit on how many cars can be out on track at once
