I don't want to be in the club though.
I told Mark that if they can't sort the k-jet out, to just bang some carbs on there instead
He said no

I think mine is a sensor on the inlet causing it to fuel funny. Its not misfiring though. I think yours might be a sign, 1.8 turbo?

Dizzy cap is new, so hopefully iy's not that, but then again, hopefully it is
I think it's the fuelling. was getting LOADS of black smoke when it was spluttering earlier, then it cut out and I had to pull over.
TBH, I'm not too fussed, as long as Jamsport can make it vaguely driveable again, I can save up and build a new engine without K-jet
Fitted my duckbill earlier, looks loads better, even if it's not perfect, still need to find a real one.
No pics though, yet.

If I could work out what the correct German translation was, I'd get one from ebay.de, but translating duckbill doesn't work
I'm not in any rush really, the one I have looks ok at a glance

Robin, KJet has never given me any bother in the past.. Lots of my mates have had golfs running KJet and theyve been just as reliable as my digifant ones..

I think it's more user error than mechanical fault TBH, but we'll see.

Stopped raining long enough to do the grille and dash
The car looks SO much better now IMO.
Couple of pics from yesterday first -
It's all wet now though
Dash bits, old and new -
Fitted -
And the grille, which took about 4 minutes to do, best mod per minute so far
Note the duckbill there too, so it's gone from this -
To this -
A massive improvement I think
