Nothing major today. Got some autsol and polished up my cam carrier, rocker cover and AFM. Afm still needs a lot of work, but the carrier and rocker cover are about there.

Also got my 5 softstars wrapped on 195/40/16 Toyo proxes T1-Rs



Car will be coming back from bodyshop on the 19th. Its going straight into trix to get the engine fitted, dont have time to do it myself sadly if i want to make PVS on the 8th of June!

Went up for another nosey today, pretty pleased with the progress since i was last up. The quarters are now on, all welding in the arches done, all arches are rolled, door locks welded up and the rear wiper hole welded up.

Do you recon it'll all be done for PVS...2008?

Engine looks lovely. I painted mine up, but a year later its looking a bit tatty.

Not any work on the gsi, but spent the morning stripping my old c16se out of my track car due to major rust. Also need the mounts, shafts and hubs.




A bit of the rust, car is covered in it though. So off to get scrapped this week.


Also gave the turbo a clean up and bolted it on, and set it up the hoses to see how everything goes.



Theres a hose coming from the turbo that looks like its meant to go to the sump, but cant see anywhere to put it. Is it a water hose?

why is an mpi engine, running SPi?


also, you sure that's a c16xe... and the c16's ran a dispac, and not a dissy

sorry, e16se. Engines running a carb off a 1.6 cavy i had lying around. Just so i didnt have to change fuel tanks.

Yeh it did a bit, not too much though. Put it on to get it running, plan was to switch to 40s but never got round to it.

Yeh shame really, would of been a good wee track car. The shell is well past saving though, so its off to a scrappy in the sky this week.

Well got a nice and cheap air compressor from aldi, perfect for a home garage.


And decided to clean and paint my manky gearbox spotted next to the engine here looking a bit sorry for itself

Painted up in silver hammerite.





Not perfect but looks a lot tidyer, some is flaking off though. Must of missed a couple wee bits while cleaning it
