hey m8 a just wanted to say brill thread ave just sat and read the whole story for an hour and think the car is stunnin and i kinda know how u fell abwt your car i had a 1.2 8v spent nearly a grand on it the head gasket fuck so i sold it cheap and bought a 1.4 sport in black and guess what the fukin cylinder heads warped pises owt coolant like fuck am gutted next corsa i get though gonna make it a good project and i hope you get it fixed m8 a really do

cheers buddy, nice to hear someone spent there time reading what i've done makes it all worthwhile if u know what i mean

yea engines are a fuk up, but thats cars for you. have got an engine lined up jus gotta get it paid for n shipped down to me, n then i can start thinkin about what im gunna do next.

update: started stripping my engine apart today with "spankyjames" after work. but it isnt untill you get stuck into something u realise how little light we still got lol plus my dinner was gettin cold lol

fingers crossed she'll be running again soon

engine is definetly coming to me tuesday, courier is booked.

then me, spankyjames and blackmagic (works at vauxhall) will be fitting it, so will be running next week and ready for the castle combe action day

update:

engine is here, so today me and my mates are gunna get the rest of my engine out, and fit a few new bits to the new engine, then start gettin it in, cant wait to get her back on the road

update:

right guys old engine completely out, and new one is pretty much bolted in, just need to plug and plumb everything in and drop some oil, coolant and power steering fluid in

1st of all, bumper off out the way

can see what shite condition i got it in lol.

then it got to dark but the engine is bolted up. to dark to get a gd pic, but this is how it stands outside my house untill tomoz at 4, after work lol

felt so much better doing it myself with a friend, learnt a few things sbout the engine lol

not bad for 6 hours work by ameuters (spelling) although james has been working on his own 2litre conversion

use waching powder! will hurt where you have scratched you hands, but will get all that oil off!!

cheers buddy, should have done lol ahwel,

didnt get it finished tonight but should be runnin tomorrow, just need to put gear linkage on, air box, attach exhaust to manifold, bolt hubs to the drive shafts and bolt wheels up. then fill her up, n fingers crossed she'll be running
