Greame, hopefully next weekend i'll be getting the arches flared out a bit.
The car's only been out of the driveway to turn around, so the springs and shocks haven't bedded in yet, so hopefully it'll drop a bit more after its been driven about a bit

Sometimes after i've done something, i really question my own sanity! :loll:
Anyway, the only update is it failed the MOT today on the handbrake not working (needs new drum arms and cable) and front to rear brake pipe corroded.
After speaking with my MOT tester (who races Mini's) I've got the sudden urge to tune the engine. Theres something about tuning little engines that makes me tick! Been pricing up 4 branch manifolds, decats, bigger throttle body, punto 75 cam, and a 6 speed gearboxetc Whats up with me!?

Not bad bud, best way to free up the handbrake arm's are to heat them up and drop them in water and they free up for ages! Apply some copper grease when refitting and it's all gravy! GSR do a bigger throttle body and plate for the engine and a nice induction kit too. 75 cam is a good cheap mod too for power.

I was thinking more along the lines of bike throttle bodies?
Dunno how i'd get carbs to work on a car with coilpack ignition? Or if i just replaced the inlet etc with one with carbs, the ecu would take care of the ignition side of things?

Update: 26/11/08
It passed the MOT yesterday so its back on the road! Yipee!
Today i rolled the arches with a scaffolding pole I'll upload pics tomorrow. But here's how i did it
Plans now are to paint the centres of the wheels matt black, then set about smoothing the bumpers

Well the lips rolled up, so i'll see if its made it any better on my way to work in the morning. Might be a case of cutting, flaring, welding and smoothing them if it hasn't made much of a difference

Madness. Fairplay tho. and great news regarding the MOT.
Arches come out ok? And is the smoothing going to be attempted by yourself?

Update 1/12/08
This update is just of some pics now its on the road.
I painted the centres matt black as i thought it might look good. I'm not so sure yet, maybe a dark silver or anthracite would be better? I've only done one side so far.
I'm doing something a bit random here. Just banging on a load of cool stickers onto one wing only. Eventually the wing will be covered and it'll be like a vinyl wrap of stickers! If you have any stickers and you see it, stick em on
Its still lives!
