I miss not being on here during the day to be the one to pull people up for stuff like that

I've gotta say I find this phone a tad irritating at the mo.
No doubt I will find a the ways to make it more user friendly, but why the hell should I have to do that?
It reminds me of an Autodesk product right now...ie when you first use it 'everything' is set in a manner you wouldn't want, forcing you to read manuals that are so biased towards the original settings its beyond belief.....that coupled with the screen selection has almost made me throw the thing at the nearest wall TBH
I guess I was expecting too much too soon
Anybody know of any decent forums out there?

It's still pants
Just checked my SMS and found two 'intimate' messages from a random number, so texted them saying 'who the fuck are you?'
Cue a Geordie chap ringing me asking who the fuck I am (and after some convo) him asking me why I have messages he sent to his missus last month.
Voda security heh?
You have to love all that shite.

Another problem with that amazing screen bubble when you've finished making up some new figures

I still love my Storm. I think it's very good although I will admit it is quite hard to correct typos.

So it's not actually a touch screen? You have to press it like a button

even staff arent allowed them yet, still fulfilling backorders!
robbo-on friday, excluding back orders, and online orders, our call centre alone shifted 30,000 units in 4 hours.
my bad. no clue why i put 4 hours. it was in fact between hours of 8am and approx 530 when cut off kicks in.
hold hand upto that one.
was still 30,000 units in one day though.

do you buy the same colour car as everybody else? or do you have your personal selections on it?
do you have a different screensvaer on your pc to everybody else? answers to both are probably yes. but you find it wierd and annoying to customize a phone? seriously some twisted logic there, that you are actually complaining that you can change the phone to suit your needs.
tbh, if that annoys you, call up and do an exchange to a nokia 6300.

not really a problem is it john? it says there is no roller ball to scroll back to a mistake.
what they probably forgot to do was to click on the mistake and correct it. hence why there is no roller ball, why roll back through an email to get to one word, when you can click on it?

I may well do that
But I think you missed my point
Not having a pop at you (you sell them after all) but lets consider your analogy and the reference to 'twisted logic' for a minute.
I've got pretty girly fingers and my missus has long nails, neither of us can use the touch screen to any great degree....if it turned 90 degrees on demand that might help but the handsets simply dont, and as you may well appreciate, reading the on-phone manual is pretty impossible if you can't actually select the (absolutely) tiny menu in that area.
TBH I'll stick with it for the mo though, like I said I'm (hoping) the usability will improve in time...but I fear its going to be a far more painful transition than I had hoped for (trying to browse the internet on the bus this morning being a serious point in fact)

Does the update add any thing new or just fix existing bugs? How do I update? Just plug my storm into my PC and go on Desktop Manager?
