hes unproven in the prem etc but he was excellent for zenit in the uefa last year and he tore holland to pieces in the euros when at the time they were the oustanding team aling with spain!
Hes not the answer to all our problems but he is a quality player, just have to look at some of his highlights to see that, just have to hope the russia spain match wa s aone-off :/

Slightly past deadline day news: Beckham's lawyers in LA trying to strike a deal to let him stay in Milan - no idea if thats just a longer loan or full move.
Also, turns out we tried to sign a young Brazilian kid in place of Keane, but his is part owned by two clubs so made any quick deal impossible. Not heard much about him, maybe Jiz has, name is Keirrison de Souza.

Barnsley were pretty busy, signed a player called Bogdanovic, unknown Maltese international, His mate Misfud from Coventry on loan until the end of the season, Adam Hammil on loan from Liverpool and Andranik Teymourian from fulham on Loan. Sounds promising.

Keirisson is a true talent, Man Utd have spoken to Palmeiras about him but their is only one team so far who've had an agreement to sign him from Palmeiras/Coritiba if he proves himself in 2009 and that's Real Madrid.
His strike rate is nearly as good as Ronaldo's when he was at Cruzeiro.

As said about Arshavin he is un-proven but every player who doesn't sign for Liverpool will be shit and over rated. Given the bits i've seen from him, the way Arsenal play and the amount given the stupid transfer fees going around (Robbie Keane for £20mil??) i think he'll be a good signing.

I just think the money spent on Arshavin could have spent elsewhere on the arsenal team who already seem to have very similar type players to him (nasri, rosicky, cesc), for instance they could do with a centre half and holding midfielder.
I personally am intrueged to see how he gets on in the premier league, wont get away with being average

Exactly. Mike seems to have this pro/anti Liverpool thing going on that has confinced him I cant have a valid opinion about another teams player even if a load of others on here are saying the same thing.
I still stand by the point that (£16m reported on SSN) is a silly price to pay for someone who is vastly over rated due to one good tournament. As said it could of been spent on one or two other players that would of provided quality where it was needed rather than where it isnt.
