Well done to all the Premiership teams

I wanted to boot both keepers in the arse there, Almunia wouldn't have even got the one that went right down the middle if he hadn't of just flopped on the ground

Dont worry, if he even attempted to sing it at The Emirates he'd be booted back up north.

Hey...i'm no Northerner...just undercover behind enemy lines....

Its funny actually because I know an Arsenal ST holder who got moved to another part of the ground mid season because he was singing and shouting too much. Thats the sorry state of affairs at the Emirates.

Woooo!

We were shite all match...but did well in the pens. Toure's was class. Almunia is either shit at penalties or lazy. i don't mind if he doesn't save them, but at least make a decent attempt.

Clean slate now...bring on the next team.

Piss poor huh, still, we did dominate them at home (albeit without scoring!) and the atmosphere today was very intimidating along with an early error so lets hope thats all it was, we also seemed to get stronger as we went through the match

Hmm, need a steady draw I think but fingers crossed

as u say, clean slate!

I watched ten mins of extra time and I have to say the passing from both sides was shocking.

Also Roma have to be easily the weakest side in the last 16...maybe second weakest after Sporting.

Totti should retire.

Hmm not sure I agree with your comment. The reason he 'flopped' on the ground was he was going to go one way but then saw the taker hesitate i.e. look for where he was going thus knew he could not drive. I challenge you to start to drive and then hold back without looking silly.

He could have dived full stretch and then the ball would have just gone past him in the middle of the goal.

A majority of the pens, specially from Roma were VERY good. Most going high, hard or right in the corner making them very hard to save even for the best keepers.
Luckly Arsenals pens were not as good and relied more on guile/luck for the keeper not the pick the right way.

Diabys pen was similar - he totally wrong footed the goalkeeper and the ball only went past his foot a foot away from the middle but because the keeper had been wrong footed he could not recover
