Lol, exactly why I didn't make a post.
I'd well rather have the old bean tin. Got a bit hairy at about 6k revs though and I pulled back - gave the guy a flash and the snobby prick just kept his eyes front
An M3 flew past me the other day, then it pulled in and slowed down. I planned to have a wee play and ended up passing it at quite a speed and my mate said the guy in the pass seat was just sitting open mouthed pointing, love some of the reactions you get. All on my private roads of course.
What's the fastest thing you've embaressed in the LET on your private motorway/ dual carraigeway (cough).

I saw an immaculate '51 M5 at the shops today. Was a guy that kicks about here that has one of them, an E30 M3 Evo convertible, a concourse edition rs500 (that he says is insured at £30k) amongst other mental shit. The guy has very good taste from what I've heard he's got, a mate told me he's got 15 motors. Can't remember them now though.

Tell me about it mate, gonna have to ask him what it is he does and see if he's willing to take on a trainee.
Crail on the 17th might be a possibility, need to see if the car behaves itself till then.
If you can scrape enough together to come up remember to keep enough to stock up on glass bottles of Bru and tunnocks caramel wafers. Or do you get the wafers down there as well actually?

Try telling that to the rest of the forum
Wish I could beat M3's though. Just because of the fact that most of the people who drive them are smug bastards.

Lol, how the tables have turned.
I'm watching an old 5th gear on Dave and the 360 CS is on the now. It's got quite possibly the sexiest carbon fibre doorcards I've ever seen:

slidey perspex windows on a production car is just a winner in my book.

I thought the seats looked quite comfortable. Look like they'd hug you well and it's not something you'd be driving every day or any long distances. For example, if you had it for a track day only car, have it trailered up by a minion and waft your way to the track in your Bentley or something.
I can't think of another production car with slidey perspex windows, Ferrari have seemed to have gone off the idea with the Scuderia.
What do you reckon the silver pot in the middle under the steering wheel in the picture is? World's most expensive in-car ashtray?

Don't think it's standard, after a wee image search I couldn't find another one with it.
But I did come across this tan interior'd beast. Very classy.

Fuxsake I'm a diddy
Just realised today that the place that did my tyres 2 weeks ago forgot to replace my locking wheel bolt. I noticed a loud rumbling every time I was freewheeling, so pulled into a petrol station and realised the 3 remaining wheel bolts all took at least a turn and a half to be tightened. Not impressed.
I went back, asked for the bolt back and got told they've (quite obviously) not got it. I've got spares of those bolts, but I'm gonna need to jack the car up to move the spacer out the way or get something to podge it over.
Put the shits up me a bit knowing they were that loose.

A mate of mine has an alfa 156 and his brother changed the wheels and on the motorway the whole car was shaking to hell when we arrived at the destination 2/4 wheels actually moved if you kicked them because the bolts were very very loose .
I got very very pissed off one day when I was at a mates flat after a drinking sesh and the back wheel was totally flat, but I had no wheel brace so couldn't change it so tried to phone my mate back in the flat for his but had no money in my phone and couldn't get in because the door is locked and forgot what number it was so drove about a mile to a petrol station to pump the tyre up and quickly get home but the pump was out of order so got a phone top up and went back a mile to my mates flat again and phoned his to come out half pished at about 8am on a sunday morning to get him to change it with his brace, so put the spare on and it was flat so went and got a compressor to pump it up...
This got me quite angry as I was half pished still and needed to go to work

i work in a tyre fitting place. this sort of thing just shouldnt happen. although you are advised to check your wheel bolts after a day or 2 just incase. i probably over torque mine up to 120lb/ft

Whenever I'm tightening them I just put them as tight as I can possibly make them with a breaker bar. No sort of jumping up and down, just a good strong pull.
sand-eel what a load of fucking about. Hate it when that sort of thing happens and always seems to be when you least need it.

I like to see Newcastle win, always root for them when I'm watching MOTD. It's good that they're out the drop zone an all.
