Well ive not been updating this much as I havent really had the time tbh.

I uploaded some new pics to my garage and didnt change the image names of them, so some of the thread wont make sense anymore

Well a small power transplant update here.

Got the change of a let engine for a bargin price and couldnt turn it down. It had done 55k and was in a calibra.

Only problem was it had been left with the rocker cover lying off and the bonnet open on the car

So once I got it, I set about giving it a top end rebuild. (no before pictures were taken, sorry )

It got z20let HG, water pump, timing belt kit, new rebuilt head as the coscast one was fucked Also got an xe inlet cam and vernier pully.

Sitting ready to go in the hole with the F28 and new clutch.

A few shots of it bolted in.

I then set about making the boost pipes.

Rad and intercooler fitted

Oil cooler mounted so it sits behind the grill

Wiring loom ran through the 1.6 loom cover

FSE fuel pressure regulator

More bits done

I then started to built it back together

Got it out of Mark B's shed

I then got it home and got it mot'd and taxed

Its running phase 3 software and was pulling like a train until the turbo went.

Instead of buying a standard turbo I opted to upgrade it for a T3 and a tubular.

That is it in its current state. Im waiting on a v band clamp and flange coming so I can get the downpipe made.

Got my oil feed and return sorted out now. Also got a -31 actuator to get fitted. I will try and keep this updated more often

Cheers lads.

It wasnt exaclty a wasted wreck on my driveway. All it needed was a good wash and polish. Its not been painted.

Awesome turnaround, I want this car

How much power do you reckon it will be running with the tubular and T3 fitted?

Thanks johnny.

Yeah I like my conversions to be tidy. It's currently in a state just now tho because of having to strip it to change the turbo.

Should hopefully be a wepon with the new tubular and turbo

Cammed GTI engine, 4-2-1, forced induction kit and a de-cat, in a car tha weighs fuck all. Should be good for 150bhp, quick enough for hooning around Knockhill anyway think about some TB's for next year some time.
